The impact of clinical presentation, presence of SIRS and organ dysfunction on mortality in bitches with pyometra

ABSTRACT: This retrospective study evaluated the impact of clinical presentation pyometra on morbidity and mortality affected bitches. The medical records 47 bitches surgically treated for between May December 2017 were evaluated. admission data analyzed to classify animals according pyometra, presence systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) organic dysfunctions (cardiovascular, neurological, renal, hemostatic). outcomes recorded up 14 days. overall rate was 13%.
